Where Should You Start?

If someone asks me, “I’m interested in Astrology — what should I learn first?”, my answer is always the same: learn it in this order.

  1. The 9 Grahas — what each Graha represents.
  2. The 12 Rashis — their qualities and characteristics.
  3. The 12 Houses — what different areas of life they represent.
  4. Lagna and Moon (चंद्र) — understand why both are important.
  5. Nakshatras — start understanding the deeper lunar framework.
  6. Planetary relationships — learn how planets interact with each other.
  7. Dashas — then start learning how timing works.
  8. Practice — study real charts and compare what you learn with actual life experiences. And keep notes.
