“If someone had told me a few years ago that I would one day be speaking or writing about astrology and vastu, I probably wouldn’t have believed them.”
My professional background has been very different from where I am today — technology, operations and healthcare, where I was always surrounded by systems, processes, data and problem solving.
My interest in Astrology and Vastu didn’t start as an academic curiosity — it started with my own life. I went through some genuinely difficult years, looking for solutions to real challenges, and I couldn’t find straightforward answers anywhere. That’s when my curious, analytical mind took me on the path of structured learning. I joined courses in 2023, took guidance from experienced mentors and, most importantly, learned by observing and working through real charts and real situations.
The more I learned, the more I realised that Jyotish is not simply about predicting the future. For me, it’s about understanding patterns, tendencies, strengths, challenges and timing. Vastu gave me another perspective — if Astrology helps us understand the individual, Vastu helps us look at the environment around that individual. That’s where my interest in bringing the two together developed.
SimAstroVastu is really an extension of my own learning journey. My intention is to make Astrology and Vastu easier to understand and more relevant to everyday life, without making people fearful or dependent on complicated remedies.
I don’t believe we should approach these subjects with the attitude of “this one planet is causing everything in my life” or “change this one thing in your house and everything will be fixed.” Life is much more complex than that. And so is a Kundali.
One thing I’ve really enjoyed is discovering how interconnected everything is. A planet has a meaning. A sign changes how that planet expresses itself. A house tells us the area of life involved. The relationships between planets add another layer. And then comes timing — this is where Astrology became so much more fascinating for me.
The more I study, the more I realise that learning Astrology isn’t about reaching a point where you know everything. It’s almost the opposite — the more you learn, the more you realise how much there still is to learn.
I look at Astro Vastu through two connected perspectives.
Through the Kundali, we can study things such as:
I follow the Parashari approach to Jyotish, along with Vimshottari Dasha for understanding planetary periods and timing.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is: never interpret one placement in isolation. Someone may ask, “What does Saturn (शनि) in this house mean?” — but that’s only the beginning of the conversation. Which sign is Saturn in? How strong is it? What houses does it rule? What planets influence it? What’s happening in the Dasha? What are the current transits? And what does the rest of the chart say?
That’s why I see a Kundali as a complete picture, rather than a collection of individual predictions.
Vastu is often presented as a list of rules: put this here, don’t put that there, this direction is good, that direction is bad. But my learning has made me look at it more holistically — how do we use the space? Is there natural light? Is the entrance welcoming? Is the home cluttered? Does the bedroom feel calm? Is the workspace organised? Are certain areas of the home constantly neglected?
The objective should never be to create anxiety about our homes. Vastu should help us understand our space better, not make us afraid of it. Sometimes practical changes in organisation, usage, placement, light and openness can make a space feel very different — and not every Vastu concern requires breaking walls or making expensive changes.
When we’re learning Astrology, there’s a temptation to immediately look at a chart and start making predictions. I think observation should come first — understand the chart, understand the person, then interpret.
A chart may show a particular potential or life theme, but that doesn’t mean it operates the same way throughout life. This is why Dashas and transits become so important — potential and timing are two different things.
People often come to an astrologer when they’re already worried, and that comes with responsibility. Our role should be to provide clarity and perspective, not increase someone’s anxiety. There’s a big difference between “this is something you may need to be mindful of” and “something terrible is going to happen.” I strongly prefer the first.
I don’t believe every Vastu issue needs an expensive solution. Before recommending major changes, understand the space and look at what can realistically be improved — sometimes the answer is much simpler than people expect.
This has probably been my biggest lesson. I don’t consider learning Astrology and Vastu something with an end point — every chart teaches something, every person is different, and every situation adds another layer of understanding.
These are simple things anyone can start noticing in their own home.
Keep the main entrance clean, welcoming and reasonably clutter-free.
Where practical, allow natural light and fresh air into the home.
Look at areas where unused or broken things have been accumulating for years.
Try to keep the sleeping environment calm and comfortable rather than overloaded with unnecessary items.
An organised workspace can help create a greater sense of clarity and focus.
Notice which parts of your home are regularly used, and which are constantly neglected.
And most importantly: don’t follow every Vastu rule you see on social media. Understand the principle first.
SimAstroVastu is not just a name for a service. It represents a journey I never originally planned. My background is technical and structured, while Astrology and Vastu opened up a very different way of looking at people, patterns, time and space — I find that combination fascinating, and it’s why I’m still learning something new with every chart.
For me, Astrology isn’t about telling someone what their life will be — it’s about helping them understand the patterns and possibilities within their journey. And Vastu isn’t about making us afraid of our homes — it’s about becoming more aware of the spaces in which we live and work.
Be curious, but don’t be fearful. Learn the fundamentals before looking for predictions. Observe before concluding.
And most importantly — use Astrology and Vastu as tools for greater awareness and understanding, rather than as substitutes for our own judgement and responsibility.
My journey with SimAstroVastu continues, and I think that’s the beautiful part of learning — there’s always something more to discover.
Thank you for reading, and for taking the time out of your life to know my life, my journey and this Astro Vastu space. Hope you can make this your space too.

A few words shared by clients along the way — kept anonymous, as most were said in passing rather than written for a review.
"Overall, I can start to feel a bit of calm, especially around my children. My husband's case is resolved with 60–70% in his favour, and we're looking at getting his new business started for financial stability. There's a real sense of relaxedness at home now. Thank you so much."
"Thank you for your guidance and remedies — I'm sure my daughter will benefit from it. She was very comfortable talking and sharing with you."
"We had a truly wonderful experience with Simmi ji. From the very beginning she was approachable and professional, taking the time to understand our personal and career-related concerns in detail. Her astrological guidance gave us a fresh perspective on the challenges we were facing and helped us move forward with greater clarity and confidence, along with some simple, practical Vastu tips for our home that made a genuine difference. What we appreciated most was the personalised attention, patience and genuine care she showed throughout — professional, yet very personal. We're truly grateful, and would highly recommend Simmi ji to anyone looking for thoughtful guidance."
"I received a very in-depth analysis of my birth chart. Simmi ji explained the finer details in a manner that I could understand easily. Usually astrologers use very technical language that is not easy to understand. Here my experience was both insightful and pleasant!!"
"I am in immense gratitude towards the universe that it made plans in such a manner that I happened to consult Simmi and could leverage her expertise in Astrology & Vastu. The way she listens with so much patience and explains with so much logic is outstanding — like having a mentor guide me through the sine and cosine waves of life. The way she helped me understand my birth chart, the acceptance penetrated deep within, and the remedies she recommended transformed me as an individual. She sounded so sure and confident giving Vaastu tips that my kids made changes the same day, and I could see the positive effects within days. Highly recommended to anyone and everyone — I am in gratitude, Simmi. Thank you so very much."
"I had both my Kundali and Vastu studied together, and the combination was extremely insightful. It helped me understand not just the astrological influences but also how the energy of my surroundings could be better aligned. The recommendations were practical and easy to implement."
"I really appreciated the approach to remedies — no fear or pressure to do elaborate rituals or expensive solutions. What was suggested was simple, practical and always explained with the reasoning behind it. That made me much more comfortable actually following through."
"The Vastu consultation was much more practical than I expected. Our space was studied carefully, with a clear explanation of how different areas related to our daily experiences. The changes suggested were realistic and didn't involve unnecessary structural changes."
"I went in with an open but slightly skeptical mind. What surprised me was how accurately many aspects of my personality and life patterns resonated with the chart. More importantly, the reasoning behind each observation was explained, not just predictions handed to me."
"A very insightful and reassuring experience. Jyotish and Vastu explained in a simple, practical way, with time taken to answer every question. I came away with much more clarity and confidence. Highly recommended."
"A heartfelt thank you to Simi Ji. Our family was going through an extremely difficult period, with several of us dealing with serious injuries and surgeries. She took the time to carefully analyse our horoscopes as well as our home from a Vaastu perspective, and patiently guided us with simple, practical and positive changes. Over time, things started improving and we gradually came out of that challenging phase — and many of those changes remain part of our home and daily lives today. Highly recommended to anyone looking for personalised guidance in Astrology and Vaastu."
"What a wonderful consultation session — you explained each and every part of my query so beautifully, it left me motivated with such positive intent for what lies ahead. And with the Vastu guidance for my house, I'm so glad to have connected with you. Thank you for your guidance — I'll surely be back for future consultations. Highly recommend!"
