All 27 Nakshatras on one wheel, the direction each one belongs to, and simple cards to remember the planets and their Nakshatras.
The 27 Nakshatras and their 4 Padas each, laid out around the 12 Rashis — Aries (मेष) at the top, moving anticlockwise the way a kundali does. A quick visual memory aid for the sequence.
On a phone, slide the wheel sideways to see all of it.
The one thing to remember: each Rashi holds about 2¼ Nakshatras, so the thick sign-lines and the thin numbered Nakshatra ticks never line up neatly. That mismatch is the whole idea. Everything else (exact degrees, which Pada falls where) is a lookup, not something to memorise.

In the traditional directional scheme, the Nakshatras are assigned in turn to the South, West, North and East. It is a handy reference when a Nakshatra comes up in a Vastu or Muhurta discussion.
| South | West | North | East |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ashwini | Bharani | Krittika | Rohini |
| Mrigashira | Ardra | Punarvasu | Pushya |
| Ashlesha | Magha | Purva Phalguni | Uttara Phalguni |
| Hasta | Chitra | Swati | Vishakha |
| Anuradha | Jyeshtha | Mula | Purva Ashadha |
| Uttara Ashadha | — | Shravana | Dhanishta |
| Shatabhisha | Purva Bhadrapada | Uttara Bhadrapada | Revati |
The empty West cell is where Abhijit — the minor 28th Nakshatra that some traditions count between Uttara Ashadha and Shravana — falls in this scheme. The standard 27-Nakshatra list used everywhere else on this page leaves it out.
Two study cards: the 27 Nakshatras in three lines with each ruling planet named, and the three Nakshatras of each planet. Tap a card to enlarge it.
These cards help you remember the order. Reading a chart still needs the whole picture: the sign, house, aspects and the running Dasha.
