What this covers
SimAstroVastu ("we", "us") provides Vedic astrology and Vastu Shastra consultations, plus numerology and other self-service tools, at simastrovastu.com.au. This page explains what personal information we collect through the site, why, and how it's handled. It's written in plain language rather than dense legal text — if anything is unclear, message us on WhatsApp and we'll happily explain further.
What we collect
When you use a form on this site — to order a Janam Kundali, book a consultation, register interest in a class, enquire about a Vastu remedy, sign up for the free calculators or tip/Panchang updates, or join the membership — we collect what you enter: typically your name, email address and/or phone number, and, for chart-based readings, your date, time and place of birth. These birth details are used only to calculate your chart and are not shared or sold to any third party.
Free sign-up and membership. Some free calculators and previews ask for your name and email (and, optionally, your WhatsApp number) before showing a result. If you sign up, we use these details to send you tips, Panchang and Vedic Wisdom updates and offers from SimAstroVastu, and you can unsubscribe from any email. If you request a paid membership, we also use your details to send your payment link and access code. If you register interest in a course, we use your name, email, optional WhatsApp number and the answers you give to contact you about that course. Payments are taken through the payment provider's own secure page, and we never see or store your card details.
The calculators on this site (Kundali chart, numerology, Vastu direction, Janam Tara) run entirely in your browser — the numbers you enter for an instant result are not sent to us or stored anywhere unless you separately choose to submit them through one of the order/consultation forms.
How we use it
Information submitted through a form is used solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare and deliver the reading or service you requested, and follow up with you by email or WhatsApp as needed. We don't use it for anything beyond that, and we don't sell or rent it to third parties.
Where it's stored
Form submissions are processed through Netlify Forms (our website hosting provider's built-in form service) and land in an inbox/dashboard only Simmi has access to. We also use Google Analytics to understand overall visitor traffic (e.g. which pages are popular) — this is aggregated, anonymised usage data, not tied to your name or contact details from a form submission.
WhatsApp & social media
If you message us on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook directly, that conversation is subject to that platform's own privacy policy as well as this one — we treat anything you share there with the same care as a form submission.
WhatsApp Channel. Our WhatsApp Channel is a one-way broadcast, so it is not a group chat. When you follow it, your name and phone number are not shown to other followers, and we do not receive them. We see only the summary information WhatsApp gives channel owners, such as the number of followers and how many people viewed or reacted to an update. The Channel is run on WhatsApp, so it is also covered by WhatsApp’s own Channels privacy policy. If you message us directly, that is a separate conversation and is handled as described above. You can stop following the Channel at any time from within WhatsApp.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — just message us on WhatsApp or email and we'll action it promptly. If you've signed up for tip/Panchang email updates, every email includes an unsubscribe option.
